1983.
The first 24 Hour Nautilus club is born in San Leandro, California, intent on helping people of all histories and abilities achieve their wildest fitness dreams.

1994. With 32 locations in Northern California, 24 Hour Nautilus readies to solidify its powerful presence in the fitness industry.

1995. It does this by swallowing Ray Wilson's 68 Family Fitness Centers. Both the press and the public pay closer attention.

1996. 24 Hour Nautilus converts its brand to the 24 Hour Fitness we know and love today.

1997. With more than 180 clubs in ten states, 24 Hour Fitness is named Company of the Year by the Association for Corporate Growth.

1998. The company goes global, colonizing Sweden and Norway with more than 65 clubs and acquiring the equipment distributor FORZA.

1999. 24 Hour Fitness' American, European and Asian branches combine with Q clubs to form an international empire known as 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide, headquartered in San Francisco.

2000. 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide celebrates the new millennium with more than 26,000 employees managing over 430 clubs in 11 different countries.

2002. The Web connects our giant family with www.24HourFitness.com, over 10,000 pages of essential health and fitness information. The site receives more than 20 million hits per month and claims 350,000 registered users.

Today. 24 Hour Fitness now includes re:fresh, a day spa; Magic Johnson inner city and urban market clubs; Jamba Juice, a prominent juice bar chain; and Apex, a leading provider of personalized nutrition and fitness resources.
